Great Spirit,
\ngive us hearts to understand;
\nnever to take from creation’s beauty more than we give;
\nnever to destroy wantonly for the furtherance of greed;
\nnever to deny to give our hands for the building of earth’s beauty;
\nnever to take from her what we cannot use.<\/p>\n

Give us hearts to understand that to destroy earth’s music is to create confusion;
\nthat to wreck her appearance is to blind us to beauty;
\nthat to callously pollute her fragrance is to make a house of stench;
\nthat as we care for her she will care for us.<\/p>\n

We have forgotten who we are.
\nWe have sought only our own security.
\nWe have exploited simply for our own ends.
\nWe have distorted our knowledge.
\nWe have abused our power.<\/p>\n

Great Spirit, whose dry lands thirst,
\nhelp us to find the way to refresh your lands.<\/p>\n

Great Spirit, whose waters are choked with debris and pollution,
\nhelp us to find the way to cleanse your waters.<\/p>\n

Great Spirit, whose beautiful earth grows ugly with misuse,
\nhelp us to find the way to restore beauty to your handiwork.<\/p>\n

Great Spirit, whose creatures are being destroyed,
\nhelp us to find a way to replenish them.<\/p>\n

Great Spirit, whose gifts to us are being lost in selfishness and corruption,
\nhelp us to find the way to restore our humanity.<\/p>\n

Native prayer and american native wisdom

Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

Today i have released a new digital art inspired by the profound wisdom of the Native Americans and a native prayer that I first read at a beautiful FB page called Mujer Chaman<\/p>\n

I hope you enjoy it or eventually use it. In the world of intention and energy the energy we send to anything never gets lost, precised the correct and strong intention is being input. If we concentrate our consciousness and if our intention is pure, we influence the world of matter and energy. This is true for the negative or positive thingings so it’s always better to avoid giving much energy to fears, or thoughts that create bad situations. These energy laws, though most of the time remaining invisible, are real and modern science occasionally does some experiments that confirm it. You may like to check the video i am putting below about this.<\/p>\n

Now how this prayer and native wisdom relates to this big field of beliefs and practices we call shamanism? Well in a very direct way as the ancient wisdom of Native Americans is totally part of the practices of shamanism, and expresses the essence of shamanism, though the word “shaman” is rarely used by native americans. They usually prefer to use the word medicine man.<\/p>\n
